Industrial Rezoning for an Advanced Manufacturing Hub
pitt&sherry was commissioned to assess the feasibility of rezoning land in Brighton for an Advance Manufacturing Hub. Our comprehensive evaluation considered relevant strategic plans, site constraints and limitations, and set out the rezoning process pathway and timeline. Following completion of the feasibility study we met with the client and Council to discuss the findings before agreeing on the approval pathway and beginning the rezoning project, which is ongoing.

Key Outcomes
The drafting of a planning report to support an application to amend the Derwent Valley Interim Planning Scheme 2015 (DVIPS 2015). The amendment involves rezoning land at Boyer from "Rural Resource" to "Light Industrial" and "General Industrial." Rezoning can generate controversy. Our planners have coordinated and reviewed all supporting documentation. Following resolution of Aboriginal Heritage matters, the application will be submitted to Council. After which we will manage the project through to completion.
